We are ready for Open Cellars at Christmas, the event sponsored by the Wine Tourism Movement (of which we are members), with a proposal for a mountain bike tour to discover the realm of the Black Rooster, don’t miss that! Castellina in Chianti, begins our journey into the heart of the Chianti Classico. A journey through history and nature to live on two wheels, surrounded by a territory from ancient culture, famous throughout the world for its rolling hills and its wines race. The itinerary Tuscany Wine and Bike has chosen for you, you will discover the magic of a unique territory. With the winemaker and environmental guide Carlo Travagli, we cycle along the roads and in the woods, cross vineyards and olive groves, we will reach churches and castles, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. We will stop in the most beautiful sights and the Chianti and cross the Nature Reserve of St. Agnes, the only Italian example of natural cypress grove, and then make a stop to the churches of San Pietro a Cedda and Cispiano, and the ruins of the castle from Monternano of timeless appeal. The tour will end with a visit to the cellar where we will taste the Chianti Classico DOCG, one of the most popular wines in the world. For cycling enthusiasts who want to continue the path, we will proceed to the discovery of new and fascinating places on the trail of the millenarian Via Francigena. For the rest you can organize themselves with packed lunch, or ask the organization booking a table at the Antico Ristorante il Pestle offering a menu of typical dishes of the traditional Chianti cuisine focuses on seasonal products at 0 km  . Instead, the tour participants who choose to continue the path after the visit to the cellar, will necessarily organize themselves independently with packed lunch or purchasing it along the way. Services include: Winemaker and environmental guide, van support in the wake of the participants, pick up service for the return to the place of the car, compulsory helmet use. Costs: fee: 50 EUR per person. Lunch not included in the costs (not required but can be booked at the Antico Ristorante a pestle in Loc. S. Antonio bridge in Castellina in Chianti).
